Independent Living

Our Independent Living program is a family living style program offered to girls who are 16-19 and do not have a strong family support system to which they can return.

Pathway of Hope’s purpose is to help these girls become independent and positive contributors to society through counseling, education, life skills, spiritual guidance, training, and work.  We help provide jobs and job training so each resident will eventually have a better chance of becoming a productive adult.

The Independent Living program is open to wards of the court seeking out of home residential placement in an open setting.  However, chronic runaways, highly aggressive individuals, those that are severely mentally limited or those that have a severe mental disorder will not fit in well with the group process or benefit from the program.  Residents must be physically able to perform all required duties independently and emotionally stable to handle the day-to-day responsibilities required.
