About the Director

Scott Gardner
M.A. in Christian Counseling

Scott Gardner has worked within the juvenile justice system for many years. While working closely with these systems he was made aware of the tremendous need in our area for a treatment facility for females.

Scott has a Masters degree in Christian counseling and has been working with troubled teens since 1993.  Having been a troubled teen himself, and overcome what many people thought was impossible, he can relate to issues teens struggle with today.  He has been able to share his life experience to help others and believes that there is true hope for all.

Scott has worked with many girls and their families, including several different ethnic groups.  By applying these experiences to his counseling, and being driven by his sincere passion, he makes sure that each resident receives maximum benefit when coming to Pathway.

Scott is married to Suzanne and has four children.  They currently live in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.  Suzanne also has a Masters degree in counseling and is The Academic Curriculum Advisor at the Ottawa Intermediate Career Line tech center in Holland, Michigan.. She is a gifted mother and wife and shares Scott's passion for those that have been less fortunate.
